At the heart of everything we do is the Child. As our logo suggests, our community is a dedicated environment designed to wrap around ākonga, ensuring the community has the specialised knowledge and resources they need to deliver a robust curriculum. We believe that growth happens when all layers of a child’s life are connected.
Based in South East Auckland, we operate as a collaborative hub across nine sites. We bring together specialist teachers, specialised programmes, and resources specifically for students with diverse learning needs.
At our school, we are all teachers. Our community is built on the strength of:
- Whānau & Caregivers: Our primary partners in every student’s journey.
- Classroom team – includes educators, therapists, and Learning Assistants. Together the classroom team drives the daily process of teaching and learning, working directly with ākonga to ensure they can engage with and explore the curriculum with increasing independence.
- Specialist Teachers: Educators dedicated to inclusive, high-quality education. Additional programmes to support the delivery of the curriculum are beekeeping, Garden To Table, Riding for the Disabled.
- The Clinical Team: Our Therapists, Nurse, and Social Worker provides the specialised knowledge and skills required to adapt the environment. They work collaboratively with the teaching team and have strong links with external providers and specialised resources.
- Local Networks: Our strong links within South East Auckland that help our students transition their skills into their community.
…to ensure every student has the resources and community support they need to access their curriculum.
